By the time you will start digging out the Santa hats and reindeer jumpers, do not pack away your black clothing quite as yet. Only two weeks before Christmas- 7th& 8th December 2018 at Turbinenhalle Oberhausen, Germany will be reserved to host the biggest indoor metal festival in the region- Ruhrpott Metal Meeting.
The 4th edition of the festival has revealed its full line up now.
Day one will host German Thrash metallers Pripjat and MTV Headbangers Ball Tour 2018 with newly restructured Ruhr Area thrashers Sodom, US Thrash Metal act Death Angel, Greek Suicidal Angels and San Francisco Bay Area Thrash Metal legends Exodus.
On day two we will have on the stage Danish rockers D.A.D., German thrashers Tankard, Icelandic folk metallers Skálmöld, German hard rock band Motorjesus, and Scottish heavy metal pirates Alestorm.
And, of course, the headliners: on Friday night this duty will go to British heavy metallers Venom- a name that has gone in history as pioneers of whole new music genre with their 1982 record Black Metal. Saturday’s headliners will be no others than Finnish extreme metal five-piece Children Of Bodom, who are currently working on the follow up to their highly acclaimed 2015 album I Worship Chaos and are planning to release it before the end of this year via Nuclear Blast.
On Saturday the second- Flöz Stage will offer a place for Century Media Records 30-year anniversary celebration with few of the bands the label is looking after: Swedish melodic death metallers Dark Tranquility, Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil, Spanish thrash metal band Angelus Apatrida and German Deathrite.
