Ron Keel Band Video Shoot for “Girls Like Me”

Jan. 28, 2019 at Scarlett O’Haras in Sioux Falls, S.D. —

With a brand new album titled Fight Like a Band coming your way on March 1, Ron Keel Band geared up for the release by shooting a video for the party anthem “Girls Like Me” at the gentlemen’s club Scarlett O’Haras in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The photos you see below are more of a “behind the scenes” look at the making of the video; you’ll be able to see the full video in all its glory March 1 without all the lighting/sound/camera guys etc. in that video, but this is more of a pictorial of what goes into the set up and directing of the video.

Ringleader Ron Keel wore both his professional and his emcee auras as he explained each section of the video shoot, where people should gather at the respective stages, lyrics to some highlights of the song so everyone could sing along, and a lot more. He and the band also made sure everyone felt welcome to join in the fun, have a drink or 12, and just have a great time.

If you’ve never been to a video shoot before, you will hear the song in its entirety about 20 times, so if you didn’t know the lyrics when you entered … you sure will by the time you left. Luckily, “Girls Like Me” is just one of those songs you’ll want to hear over and over anyway.

And here’s a teaser for you: the photos encompass most everything that happened at Scarlett’s, but that doesn’t tell the video’s entire story. You’ll have to wait to see it for yourself when the video goes live, same day as the album. Also, if there’s someone in the photos you don’t recognize, the band has added guitarist Jason Haven, and he was part of the video fun as well.

Props to all the people who braved the weather to be a part of the video, because at around 10 degrees with both snow and sleet, it’d be tough to blame people for just staying home and eating ghost pepper-laden chili all day.
