JON OLIVA: New Solo Album Raise The Curtain Release Dates Announced

JON OLIVA’S PAIN and SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva will release his first-ever solo album, “Raise The Curtain”, on June 21 in Europe and July 2 in North America via AFM Records. The 11-song CD, which contains ideas collected over the course of the last four or five years, was tracked this past winter at Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida with producer Tom Morris, with Jon handling laying down nearly all the instrument tracks and vocals himself as well as playing drums on three songs.

“Raise The Curtain” will be released simply under the banner OLIVA and you can expect a mixture of Jon’s early influences and the material he wrote and recorded throughout his whole career. Read more

NEGATOR: NEW ALBUM NOW STREAMING

“Gates To The Pantheon,” the blistering new record by German blackened death quintet NEGATOR, is now streaming via Soundcloud at Terrorizer.com. The album — which features the vocals of Nachtgarm (ex-Dark Funeral) — will be released digitally in North America on April 23 to coincide with its European release through Viva Hate Records; a physical release on CD will follow on May 14.

When Vicious Rumors returned from a long, strenuous and immensely successful world tour in autumn 2011, the musicians – least of all band mastermind and main songwriter Geoff Thorpe – couldn’t really see themselves mustering the energy to release a new studio album in the foreseeable future. “2011 was a monster year for Vicious Rumors in the most positive sense of the word,” he says, looking back at that time with surprise and some satisfaction. “We were on the road non-stop for more or less eight months, played countless club shows and performed at some of the most important festivals worldwide. The last show of the tour took place as part of the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise – what a finale! Then everything was over very suddenly and we started to work on our new album without so much as a break. SKID ROW to Release New Album ‘United World Rebellion – Chapter One’ on April 16, 2013

No April Fools here— SKID ROW is back! The New Jersey hard rock legends have returned with their first new music in seven years. Their new EP, entitled United World Rebellion – Chapter One is SKID ROW coming out swinging. The reincarnated band, featuring Snake Sabo (guitars), Rachel Bolan (bass), Scotti Hill (guitars), Johnny Solinger (vocals) and Rob Hammersmith (drums), will release the new EP on April 16, 2013 via MRI. United World Rebellion – Chapter One is the first in a series of EPs that the band plans to release in the near future.

United World Rebellion – Chapter One reignites the youthful energy and blistering sound that SKID ROW is recognized for around the world. “That sound and energy is what resonates with people and knocks them on their ass,” says drummer Rob Hammersmith. “We had a lot of great ideas to work with, so we’re all really excited about this new music.”

SKID ROW’s rebellious tunes hit the big time in the late 1980’s. Eve To Adam Release New Track: Staitjacket Supermodel

Eve To Adam are coming back hot onto the scene with a brand new track titled, “Staitjacket Supermodel,” streaming now via SoundCloud. The Quireboys Announce UK Tour Dates – And New Studio Album Due June 2013

The Quireboys are set to storm 2013 with a series of UK dates planned and the band are currently working on a brand new studio album which will be released early June.

The Quireboys were formed in 1984 in London, England. After two successful independent singles (including the Top 40 “7 O’Clock”) and supports to the likes of Guns N Roses, Sharon Osbourne was appointed as manager and The Quireboys were signed to EMI for the release of their debut album, A Bit of What You Fancy. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 2 and was compared favorably to British rock names such as Rod Stewart and The Faces. Legendary performer and the hardest working guitarist in the business, Joe Satriani confirms the release of his 14th studio album, “Unstoppable Momentum” in the UK on Monday May 6 (U.S. release is Tuesday May 7) through Epic Records/Sony Music UK.
