Shredguy Records continues to carry the Metal torch dropping its latest studio release from guitarist Thomas Amoriello.

Flying under the banner of his surname, Amoriello, Thomas Amoriello offers up his latest studio album titled Phantom Sounds to Metal fans.

Phantom Sounds is a rip-roaring Metal foray that highlights the Neo-classical, Progressive, Power Metal, and Gothic genres. Co-produced by Thomas Amoriello, the core of the band consists of drummer Cameron Fleury, bassist Ginovanni Sena, and keyboardists Ariel Perchuk and Anthony Stahl.

The album also features guests including Herbie Langhans (Firewind), Piet Sielck (Iron Savior), Bobby Koelble (Death), Sonia Anubis (Crypta,ex-Burning Witches), Will Shaw (ex-Heir Apparent), Titta Tani (ex-Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin), and Jim Rutherford (Power Theory).

Eight tracks of metallic bliss greet the listener once they drop the disc into their CD player and hit play. While the entire album is dripping in Metal, the instrumentation offers a dynamic interplay of compositional elements, which gives each song a unique stamp. “Villain” opens the CD with a groove-driven rhythmic progression that leads to the melodic vocals of Langhans. “Unruly King” features a fast tempo, while the keys provide the melodic focal point before Rutherford’s voice joins the rest of the band. On “Medieval Warrior” Piet Sielck takes the microphone, singing and providing the guitar solo to this majestic piece. Tani handles vocal duties on “Haunted” and the bluesy “Witching Hour.” “Mach 5” features Will Shaw on vocals whose vocal style sounds eerily like a heavier Lenny Wolf.

Phantom Sounds feature two instrumentals, the spirited “Funhouse Opus” highlighting the musical strengths of the band, and the haunting “Candelabra.”

Metal through and through, double bass kick drums, rumbling bass, searing guitars, soaring vocals, and melodic keys… Phantom Sounds is a fun ride. Phantom Sounds offers a great introduction to several unknown vocalists, as well as an impressive ensemble of musicians, this album is short but sweet and will appeal to Metal fans.
