\"Lacuna<\/p>\n

One of the best recognized names in symphonic metal, Italian superstars Lacuna Coil played a very intimate show at the Roxy Theater in Hollywood to celebrate the release of their newest record, Broken Crown Halo<\/em>. Fans lined up for hours for the opportunity to see the band play up close, as the first few hundred or so were the lucky ones able to get inside and watch the show. The band mates made a point to meet the eager admirers before the show and after, proving that these musicians truly care about their listeners. <\/p>\n

With a career that has spanned an outstanding number of years, Lacuna Coil accumulated quite a diverse and prolific fan base. Now seven albums under their belt, the set list for the night nearly spanned the band\u2019s entire musical history, from Comalies<\/em> to the newest Broken Crown Halo<\/em> (although the focus was on their sixth studio album Dark Adrenaline<\/em>, most likely for the upbeat and energetic sound). Female vocalist Cristina\u2019s voice was pure brilliance, hitting notes with an exceptional level of skill. What truly sets this genre of metal apart from the rest is the opera reminiscent vocals, with the singer bellowing out entire ballads during the songs. Male vocalist Andrea was energetic, eccentric, and passionate during his part in the duets, with edgy vocals that really bring a power to the band. The other wonderful musicians of the night played with a level of ability that can impress even the most elite metal fan. The night ended with \u201cOur Truth\u201d, a song that many remark as their introduction to this band. <\/p>\n
