Triggerfinger announce the release of their fourth studio album By Absence of The Sun that will be released on the 4th March 2015.<\/p>\n
By Absence Of The Sun gives us yet another example of this highly established rock trio demonstrating their ability to provide us with all-consuming chunky bass grooves, gritty and sexy guitar riffs and smooth, deep, bluesy vocals with the ever present currents of gritty rock’n’roll.<\/p>\n
The album follows 2010\u2019s All This Dancing Around that achieved respect and adoration worldwide from press and fans alike. In 2012, their cover of Lykke Li\u2019s \u2018I Follow Rivers\u2019 achieved the number one position in the Dutch and Belgian charts.<\/p>\n
The band toured extensively during the writing of the album playing stadiums and festivals across the globe.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhilst there were truckloads of good vibes being poured over us at our shows, simultaneously, my family back home was hit by tremendous misfortune. People I love very much got very ill\u2026 I was struggling with all these contradictory emotions\u201d says Reuben. <\/p>\n
Tracks ‘Perfect Match\u2019 and \u2018Black Panic\u2019 are charged with pure electricity, whereas more intimate songs as \u2018Splendor In The Grass\u2019, \u2018Halfway There\u2019, \u2018Trail of Love\u2019 and the title song express a sense of loss.<\/p>\n
It is by all accounts an amazing attribute to the band that the new album is far from dark and melancholy and all members would like to pay particular homage to the producer of the album LA based Greg Gordon for providing incredible support.
\nBy Absence of the Sun is an enthralling rollercoaster of an album, it will take you to the highest peaks, down and then back again. One thing is for sure\u2026 once you\u2019re on you won\u2019t want to get off.<\/p>\n
