Ever wonder what Jethro Tull might have sounded like if Tony Iommi had stayed in the band and if Ian Anderson was a woman? Well, you’re in luck because Blood Ceremony exists. <\/p>\n

The Canadian band may at first listen have a familiar sound, but this is far from a throwback act. Singer\/flautist\/organist Alia O’Brien, guitarist\/lyricist Sean Kennedy, bassist Lucas Gadke, and drummer Michael Carrillo create rock music with a purpose.<\/p>\n

On their soon-to-be-released 4th album Lord of Misrule<\/em>, Blood Ceremony not only expand their sonic capabilities but the band also highlight several somewhat obscure literary works.<\/p>\n

Leading up to the release of the new album, O’Brien spoke with Hardrock Haven. In the chat, O’Brien detailed just who the Lord of Misrule is, the origin of the single “Flower Phantoms”, how Blood Ceremony initially formed over a Witchcraft record, and the future touring plans of the band.<\/p>\n
