The authorized documentary released by XLrator Media features archival footage of McKagan and Guns N\u2019 Roses, as well as Velvet Revolver, providing historical insight from his childhood and teenage years in Seattle, to his move to Los Angeles. Chronicling his struggle with alcohol, preferably vodka and drugs, McKagan struggles have pushed him to the brink of his own destruction. Yet they have also been the catalyst to creating the musician, man, husband, and father.<\/p>\n<p>McKagan tells his story in front of a crowd of fans at Seattle\u2019s Moore Theater. With McKagan providing a spoken word telling of his biography he is backed by a live band that includes Pearl Jam\u2019s Mike McCready. Director and producer Christopher Duddy provide a visual experience that captures the McKagan story through interviews, live band performances, home movie footage and animation. Nikki Sixx, Slash, Matt Sorum, Mike McCready, Benny &#8220;The Jet&#8221; Urquidez, Susan Holmes-McKagan, as well as family members and former bandmates from Seattle are interviewed and offer greater insight into the life of Duff McKagan.<\/p>\n<p>McKagan\u2019s recently summed up the best part of sobriety to The Pulse of Radio was, <em>\u201cWaking up every day.
