April 17th, 2018 at O2 Institute Birmingham, U.K. —<\/h3>\n

The first band to take the stage this evening was UK Death Metal five-piece Venom Prison. Their energetic live show and Larissa Stupar’s earthy roar did a great job on opening up the moshpit which stayed open for the whole show.<\/p>\n

Next one up was Dallas Thrash metallers Power Trip. They did make an impact- it was impossible not to headbang to their fierce riffs and Riley’s ferocious vocals.<\/p>\n

Code Orange greeted us with all photographers nightmare- harsh red lighting. By then the room was filled up already and headbanging to bands raw, gritty sound.<\/p>\n

Trivium’s journey to success begun in 2003 (founded in 1999) with their debut album Ember To Inferno<\/em>. Since then these American heavy metallers have brought out another seven albums, have been nominated for and won multiple awards and are one of those bands which tour pretty much whole the time.<\/p>\n

In lead singers Matt Heafy’s words: “Born in the States, but adopted by the UK.” He pointed out few times the special relationship the band has with this country and took the time between songs to thank fans for support. He was encouraging the already heated up crowd that the Home of Heavy Metal should win the competition of which one is the best city of their five shows in the UK.<\/p>\n

Lots of singing along, screaming, jumping, moshing, crowd surfing- what a show- full of so much energy!<\/p>\n
