Definitely ‘Big Things’ were expected from tonight’s show with Newport’s metallers Skindred supported by American Rock band CKY and Canadian Rock trio Danko Jones.<\/p>\n

Both support acts did a great job to get things started and by the time the lights went down playing AC\/DC’s “Thunderstruck” followed by Star Wars<\/em> “Imperial March” in the background, the crowd was excited and cheering. And ‘Big Things’ were definitely delivered as Skindred kicked off with the title track “Big Things” from their same-titled new album released on April 27th via Napalm Records.<\/p>\n

Lead vocalist Benji Webbe is born to be on stage, he commands the crowd like no other, demanding from fans as much energy as he gives them. And fans here in Birmingham were obedient to that rule, singing along, screaming, jumping, crowd surfing, they were all showing their appreciation for seeing Skindred live.<\/p>\n

For the last song of the set “Warning” everyone was ordered to sit down and get their T-Shirts ready for the Newport Helicopter. The crowd than jumped up swinging their shirts in the air with full force and that was the moment to prove why Skindred is one of UK’s best live bands. <\/p>\n
