May 10-12, 2018 at island of Karm\u00f8y in Kopervik, Norway —<\/h3>\n

Karm\u00f8ygeddon Metal Festival 2018 was held on 10.-12.05. in Kopervik, at the island of Karm\u00f8y on the west coast of Norway. Over 30 bands took the stage for 3 days to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this intimately small festival, where it seemed as if everyone knew each other. Even though this was a small, plenty of the artists performing needed no introduction, and there was plenty of space inside and outside to have drink, food or just chill.<\/p>\n

The small Scandic stage featured Norwegian doom trio Purple Hill Witch with its Black Sabbath influenced melodies, Viking\/Folk metallers from Iceland Sk\u00e1lm\u00f6ld, German extreme Metal project The Ruins Of Beverast, Norwegian Death Metal band Shaarimoth, the energetic Finnish six-piece Omnium Gatherum and plenty of others.<\/p>\n

The main stage, named Gassco, on Friday opened with style with a fiery performance, quite literally, from Norwegian hard rockers The Carburetors. They were a great band to watch and photograph, there was something exciting constantly happening on stage while the crowd was enjoying their fast forward Hard Rock. And a great closing on Saturday night too by the mighty German Thrash metallers Kreator. In between, we did see Ukrainian metalcore band Jinjer, Greek black metallers Rotting Christ, Norwegian progressive five-piece Leprous and Finnish Heavy Metal band Amorphis amongst others.<\/p>\n
