Los Angeles provocateurs Classless Act<\/strong> have a special gift for all the music lovers this Valentine\u2019s Day<\/strong>\u2014a cover of \u201cToxic,\u201d Britney Spears\u2019 <\/strong>classic heart stomper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Says the band of the song: \u201cWe grew up listening to the original tune as a punk song. And 20 years later we\u2019re honoring \u2018Toxic\u2019 with our knives out. It\u2019s how she would\u2019ve wanted it. Admit it: We all love giving into our toxic traits. It\u2019s what makes us human and weird. And we ain\u2019t here to celebrate any toxic behavior, we\u2019re just here to own up to it through Spears.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Produced and mixed by the band’s bassist, and songwriter, Franco Gravante, the new track comes after a whirlwind two years for Classless Act beginning with their debut album Welcome To The Show, released in the summer of 2022 that kicked off a huge breakthrough cycle for the five-piece, racking up millions of streams and logging more than 100 live shows, playing the blockbuster Stadium Tour opening for Motley Crue and Def Leppard, supporting Dorothy and Giovannie and the Hired Guns, as well as an appearance at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert where Classless Act frontman Derek Day joined Dave Grohl and members of the Foo Fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of it has gained critical acclaim for the band, with press hailing Classless Act as \u201cthe next big thing in music\u201d (Next Mosh) and \u201cvery reminiscent of when rock reigned supreme\u201d (Loudwire).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Classless Act returns to the road beginning February 29, on a series of dates that include headline shows and supporting guitarist John 5 as well as rock act Adelitas Way. The band has been hailed as \u201cfuture headliners\u201d (SPIN) with a live show that \u201csets the air ablaze\u201d (BraveWords) with frontman Derek Day described as a \u201ccomposite of Robert Plant\u2019s high-end brilliance, Robert Daltrey\u2019s power, Axl Rose\u2019s grittiness and David Lee Roth\u2019s stage presence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Classless Act is currently in the studio working on new material that will follow up Welcome To The Show, with more details to be announced soon.<\/p>\n\n\n
