German power metal legends Helloween recently completed a fall tour of North America in support of their latest album Straight Out of Hell. Hardrock Haven was fortunate enough to speak with founding member and guitar extraordinaire Michael Weikath at the Columbus, OH tour stop at the storied Newport Music Hall.
In the video, Weikath discusses how each band member contributes to the songwriting, the perks of touring in the US, how they came to work with artist Martin Häusler, and the inner-workings of his guitar partnership with Sascha Gerstner:
