Michal Pakulski Announces Details of His New Solo Album: The Road

Michal_Pakulski_01aThe Warsaw-based guitar player Michal Pakulski will release his solo album The Road via Musicola on September the 2nd, 2016. The album contains eight instrumental tracks, its release preceded by the single “Pain”. It will be distributed by Sonic Records and made available in pre-order.

Michal Pakulski is a Polish guitarist, composer, arranger, music producer, music journalist and session musician. Prior to release of his solo album, he formed or co-formed several bands and projects such as The Good Stuff as well as collaborated with many renowned representatives of the Polish Pop and Rock scene. His musical resume includes collaboration with the Polish Radio and the Polish music magazine Gitarzysta. His musicianship was praised by a variety of listeners and critics from all over the world, including the US, Italy and the UK. He’s the official endorser of the Wampler Pedals – the American hand-made brand of boutique guitar pedals used by Brad Paisley, Brent Mason, Tom Quayle, Guthrie Govan, John Fogerty, Keith Urban, and many more. Pakulski was also featured, as the only representative of the Polish guitar scene, on their Signature Artists list alongside world class guitar players.

The idea of making The Road, according to Pakulski, dates back to 2009. It was also when the first tracks – “Supernova”, “Two Poles”, and “Memories” – were made. Throughout the next few years the songwriting and recording process progressed so as to be finished in February 2016. A thirty minutes album features eight tracks, each of them influenced with the current tendencies of Rock music to blend the classic and the contemporary into what is dubbed “Modern Classic Rock”, with modern production but vintage sound, harmonies and instrumentation. Such an approach undoubtedly contributes to the uniqueness of The Road. Each track, says Pakulski, reflects a particular event of his life, revealing a storytelling potential behind the album. Each and every sound on the album is said to be “intentional and meticulously arranged” so as to “reflect the feeling embedded in the act of electric guitar playing”.
