At long last, the sophomore release from Symphonic Metal band Eynomia has arrived.
Following up 2018s Break Free, guitarist Chris Bickley (Christine Ohlman band, Thunderhead) and vocalist Phyllis Rutter return with their bandmates bassist Mike LePond (Symphony X, Mike LePond’s Silent Assassins), keyboardist Jimmy Pitts (Christian Muenzer band, Fountainhead) and drummer Gaetano Nicolosi (Ron Keel band) with Sea of Tears.
Sea of Tears features nine Symphonic Metal songs that will immerse listeners in lavishly arranged melodic arrangements, embellished by stellar musicianship and elegant vocals. Fans also are in for a treat with special guest performances on two songs, vocalist Michael Vescera appears on “Mask of Vengeance” and guitarist Mike Abdow appears on “To The End.”
Sonically, Sea of Tears offers listeners a rainbow of sound gratifying to the senses that compels one to listen to each song. Combining this with top-notch production magnifies the listening experience.
Sea of Tears‘ rhythmic pulse lies in the feet and hands of LePond and Nicolosi. Bickley adds the dynamic rhythm guitar work, and he and Pitts create the melodic, fluid and blazing solos intertwined with the twinkling of the ivories. Rutter ices the cake, and elegant, passionate vocal melodies grace each track, evoking an emotional response.
For fans of Female-Fronted Metal, all the elements required to make each song compelling are on display within the musical arrangements on Sea of Tears. It is important to not white-wash the album with technical jargon, as the songs are finely crafted and are made better by the musicians involved in the creative process, then honed and polished and presented to you.
