vegasChicago based band The Last Vegas have released their debut album Whatever Gets You Off on Eleven Seven Music on April 14. The windy city rockers who won the Guitar Center Competition are ready to take the world by storm. Hot off the heels of their recent tour, opening for Motley Crue, The Last Vegas are putting the fun back into Rock N’ Roll.

The Last Vegas’ latest release, Whatever Gets You Off , takes you back to the glam-rock scene on Sunset Strip with their revved up glam-rock sound that has a bluesy rock punk vibe reminiscent of early Motley Crue and Cinderella Tom Keifer like vocals of lead singer Chad Cherry.

Raw, raunchy, and laden with high-energized vocals overdubbed with blistering in your face guitar solos, The Last Vegas sings of lust and love. Kicking things off in the sleaze rock vein, title track Whatever Gets You Off sets the tone for the entire album. Do you remember when love was innocent yet very alluring and dangerous? Well, The Last Vegas spill their thoughts on first love in a very risqué’ style. The first single, “I’m Bad’ is laden with killer guitar hooks and lust. “Loose Lips” features Ac/DC like vocals and a great bluesy hook that will have you dancing in your seat.

Do you remember the Warrant song “Cherry Pie”? Well, The Last Vegas has a new anthem called, “Cherry Red”. Other highlights include “White Lies” which has a Fastway guitar groove, and “Love Me Bad” that has a great Escape Club guitar intro. If you are a huge fan of ’80’s music, you will hear a lot of the similarities in The Last Vegas sound.

Produced by Motley Crue bassist NIKKI SIXX, it is clear to see that The Last Vegas and Nikki were clearly on the same page infusing blistering guitars and gritty in your face vocals. The band also has a great image, which is pleasant on the eyes. The Last Vegas received a great response opening for Motley Crue this Winter. It will be interesting to see what is next for the band.

In a recent interview with vocalist Chad Cherry for Hard Rock Haven.net Chad enthused, “NIKKI is awesome. He is like the big brother I never had. He is really cool. He is really fun to work with. We are all on the same page. We are all rockers. We like to record and write. It is a match made in heaven. It is really, really, fun.”

“I’m Bad”, the first single is a hot little ditty. It is kind of something that we have been working on pretty much the last year or so. We kind of finalized it when we went into the studio. We worked with Marti and DJ, and all my boys here. Like we said, we are all on the same page. We laughed, had tons of fun. Being a Rock star is a little bit more work than you think. But not really”. (Laughter)

The wait is over. If you love ’80’s music, and want to re-live the feeling of the ’80s, where there were no boundaries and life was exciting and Rock stars lived large on Sunset Strip, pick up a copy of the new The Last Vegas album today. The Chicago rockers are putting fun back in metal. Finally, there is a band cut out of the same cloth as Motley Crue with their vibrant hard rock ’80s sound for a new generation of fans to enjoy.
