Crashdiet : Generation Wild

Hailing from Sweden, the new glam metal capital of the world, Crashdiet has finally crash landed in the United States with the release of Generation Wild. This is what glam metal should sound like. This four-piece outfit from Stockholm has put together a winning combination of Hanoi Rocks, LA Guns, Crue and a slice of Skid Row to put out one ball buster of a release in Generation Wild.
Generation Wild marks the band’s first studio release with new lead singer Simon Cruz, who takes control of this release with a terrific vocal performance from the opening track “Armageddon” right on through the melancholy closing number of “Beautiful Pain.” Generation Wild is a very fresh-sounding disc with several smoking-hot tracks, including “Down With the Dust,” “So Alive,” “Generation Wild” and the blistering “Rebel,” which will have you pumping your fist in the air and bouncing off the walls.
Overall, this is a great disc that does have one bad track to skip over. Fans of new glam metal or just rock and roll fans in general should dig this release. Their music may be influenced by many bands from the ‘80s, but it sounds really fresh, crisp and not dated. The vocals are great, and there are plenty of effects in the right spots, along with very tasty guitar licks and a solid rhythm section. This is one of the better discs out there of this genre. You will be hitting replay on this one over and over. Well done, guys.
