HRH AOR 2019 edition was taking place on 14.-16. March at Presthaven Beach Resort in Wales, UK, a temporary location before moving HRH Camp to another side of the country to Great Yarmouth.
Thursday’s headliners and also fan favorites of the night were New York city hard rockers Tyketto. HRH AOR was one of the stops on band’s tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their second studio release Strength In Numbers, which was played in full within the 100-minute long set. In words of frontman Danny Vaughn: “We are not the Lamborghini, Maserati in this business, but we are one of the lucky ones still standing after all this time”.
Since Tyketto had plenty of time on the stage, they did treat their fans with few surprises- a song which hasn’t been head live by many- “Wait Forever”- a B-side track from The End of Summer Days release. And for one of their best-known tunes “Forever Young,” Danny brought out a surprise guest- Nick Workman from Vega.

On Friday headlining duty went to English rock legends UFO. In 2018 an announcement came from bands vocalist Phil Mogg, that UFO’s 50th-anniversary tour in 2019 would be his last one with the result of either band split or continuing with a new singer.
Despite being late the band did put on a brilliant show and fans, who had been patiently waiting the whole day for this time of the night were not left disappointed.
Set was closed with “Shoot Shoot” and “Doctor Doctor”, a piece written by Phil Mogg and former band’s guitarist Michael Schenker.

The weekend on the main stage was closed by Danger Danger lead singer and solo artist Ted Poley.
“They said, that I’m the headliner, but that’s not true. Every single band in this festival is a headliner”- and then pointing to the crowd, Ted added: “But I came all this way for you. You are my headliner!”
Tonight’s set consisted of classic Danger Danger pieces, covers and Ted’s solo work and between the songs he was tirelessly interacting with fans, whether joking and chatting, talking health issues or spending considerable amount of time leaning over pit barrier overlooking the whole crowd or having a walk amongst fans while performing “I Still Think About You”.
