The monstrous Trinity of Terror tour featuring Ice Nine Kills, Motionless in White, and Black Veil Brides touched down in Los Angeles on March 18, 2022, and left devastation in its wake. Scores of fans in lines wrapping all the way around the building could be seen outside the venue before the doors opened at 5:30 pm, as they eagerly awaited this behemoth of a show.

Once through the metal detectors and Covid checks, past the bars and merchandise booths, patrons were greeted by the expansive auditorium that is the Hollywood Palladium, and for some, were welcomed back home for the first time since the start of the pandemic. This would truly be an unforgettable night of live music.

At 7:30 pm sharp, the lights went down on stage and engulfed the room in darkness and anticipation.

An opening interlude, “Opening Night” began to play, and the energy in the room was palpable. Ice Nine Kills exploded onto the stage and wasted no time heading into their first song of the set, “Welcome to Horrorwood.” The song shares a name with the newest album the band released in October of 2021, which is a sequel to The Silver Scream (an album of songs that are based on horror and horror-adjacent pop culture movies).

One thing the band never fails to deliver is a theatrical performance, and this night on the Trinity of Terror tour was no exception. Special guests graced the stage with their presence dressed as characters out of horror movies (or victims for the band), such as a butcher for the song “Wurst Vacation.” The members also wear costumes and masks according to the song they’re playing, such as suits and raincoats for “Hip to be Scared,” a track inspired by American Psycho.

Front man Spencer Charnas donned various other outfits and props inspired by the characters in the songs they played, including Pennywise for “IT is the End,” Ash Williams for “Ex-Mortis,” and Freddy Krueger for “American Nightmare.” Throughout their set, Ice Nine Kills displayed masterful skills on their respective instruments, and the crowd pulsed, swayed, and moshed with the music. By the end of their performance, Ice Nine Kills left the audience hungry for more.

When Motionless in White took the stage at the Hollywood Palladium, the fans went into a frenzy. Beginning their set with “Thoughts and Prayers,” the band was a prime example of energy and charisma. They recently released a single titled “Cyberhex,” and despite it only having been out for a week at the time of the show, the crowd sang along to every word. They also included a cover of “Somebody Told Me,” originally written by The Killers, and if someone in the crowd wasn’t moving before then, they certainly were during that song. Motionless in White put on a great performance, with striking background visuals and expert musicianship.

Black Veil Brides closed the sold-out show and brought the patrons of the LA stop on the Trinity of Terror tour to their knees. Clad in black leather, they captivated the audience with their performance. They played through their set, including songs such as “Faithless,” “Crimson Skies,” and “Scarlet Cross” with infectious enthusiasm. It was easy to see why Black Veil Brides are a fan favorite, as they effortlessly wooed a sea of thousands of people with their dulcet tones. After a twelve-song set, no one in the room wanted the set to be over.

The Trinity of Terror tour continues to wreak havoc on North America. Ice Nine Kills, Motionless in White, and Black Veil Brides have joined unholy forces to bring mischief, music, and mayhem to fans across the country. This is a group of bands you don’t want to miss!
