July 19, 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, CA —

On July 19, 2018, Thirty Seconds To Mars made a stop at The Forum in Inglewood, CA and brought along an eclectic mix of artists. The Monolith Tour also features Walk The Moon, K. Flay, and Welshly Arms. With hints of gospel and hip-hop, along with a healthy dose of Rock n’ Roll, this show contained something for each taste of the music spectrum.

All the way from Ohio, Welshly Arms opened up the show on a high note, with notes of Gospel to accompany its Rock flair. Complete with a tambourine, the band wowed the audience and got the energy up right out of the gate. Their unique sound was refreshing, and the perfect way to start the night.

Next up on stage was K. Flay. This talented woman brought a little hip-hop to the table, with a band of talented musicians behind her to keep the beat going. Throughout the set, this act was energetic and passionate, with K. Flay keeping up the energy in a flurry of movement.

Walk The Moon was the direct support for Thirty Seconds To Mars, and they quite frankly almost stole the show. With upbeat tunes and a little synth, this rock band had the crowd dancing and singing along. Their hits “Shut Up and Dance,” and “Anna Sun” made it into their set, and the positive energy filled the room.

A drum set sat in the middle of the stage, and when the lights went down, a large LED crate was lowered onto the stage. At the bottom of it, red lights danced in the darkness. After a moment of intro music, this crate opened to reveal Jared Leto of Thirty Seconds to Mars standing in the middle of the stage, wearing a sparkling and brilliant black and gold suit. Performing as a two-piece, Jared and Shannon Leto began their set, and the audience exploded into excitement. During their third song, large balloons dropped onto the stage, and into the crowd, fans singing along all the while. It was clear after almost two decades, Thirty Seconds To Mars is still going strong, with the ability to create great music, and pack arenas.

The Monolith tour offers something for every music fan and features diverse and extraordinary talent. Although the tour is at its end, it would be worth it to look up these artists, as they put on a great performance at The Forum!
