The 69 Eyes are currently making their way across North America with Wednesday 13, Sumo Cyco, and The Crowned on the Hell Has No Mercy tour. On Friday, February 7th, the bands made a stop at the world-famous Whisky A Go-Go in West Hollywood and the Sunset strip was treated to a night full of monster rock n’ roll.

Sumo Cyco is one hard rock band you do not want to sleep on. Fronted by the sweet and sassy Skye Sweetnam, this four-piece is completely independent and brimming with talent. From the moment the band took the stage, they were able to bring up the energy of the room and maintain the high throughout their set. Sumo Cyco released several new singles in 2019, including a cover of System Of A Down’s hit “B.Y.O.B”, which they played live for the audience on Friday night and was very well received. The crowd enjoyed Sumo Cyco’s performance as a whole, and they are always a fan favorite whenever they come to Southern California.

Wednesday 13 is a band that never fails to put on a unique and entertaining show, and Friday night was no exception. Wearing glowing neon body paint, the band arrived on stage in almost complete darkness, giving their Whisky performance a little something extra. They have a gothic, horror theme to their music, and they bring the same visuals to their live shows, as Wednesday dons many different costumes and masks during their set. It was clear that some of the fans in the audience came specifically to see Wednesday 13, and it was no mystery as to why; they are talented musicians and master performers.

The time had come for the headliners to play, and everyone moved in as close as they could to the stage to see The 69 Eyes. The Helsinki vampires still know how to rock after being in the game for 31 years. The goth rockers channeled their glam metal influences and doled out catchy riffs and infectious melodies that compelled the audience to dance and sing along. To be successful in the music industry for three decades, a band has to know how to make good music and put on a great show, and The 69 Eyes do a fantastic job at both.

The North American Hell Has No Mercy tour comes to a close on February 22nd, so make sure you get your tickets to see this stacked line up!
